Our Approach

Our approach is the result of years of development and finding an approach that works well for our clients.

We seek to provide the highest level of quality in Web Design services at the most competitive price. How do we that you ask? By running lean and keeping our operational expenses to a minimum. As outlined in our About Us section, we are comprised of a team of developers, designers, and writers around the U.S.

By the Numbers

The following outlines the approach we take on projects with new clients:

Step 1: Contact. When potential clients call or email us, we go through a series of a few questions to gather information on the project’s needs. Most often these questions are: How many pages are you expecting in the site? Do you need to be able to maintain the website yourself (Content Management System)? Is Search Engine Optimization (SEO) important for this website? Do you need Ecommerce?

Step 2: Proposal. After we gather the information over the phone or through email, we then put together a proposal and send it over to the potential client. This proposal will cover the needs of your website we discussed over the phone and the price it will take to accomplish this project.

Step 3: Contract. Once we get the proposal details ironed out, we then put together a contract.

Step 4: Getting Started. When we receive the signed contract and the first 1/2 payment, we begin the work on your website. The first thing we do is send over a marketing survey to find out more information about your target audience and various questions pertaining to color schemes, your competition, and other things you would like to see accomplished in your website. Most of this has already been accomplished in the proposal phase, but at this point we just fine tune things down.

Step 5: Concept/Proof Development. Now that we clearly understand all the different elements of the client’s expectations for the project, we develop an initial concept proof of what the homepage of the website will look like. From there we allow for a predefined round of revisions.

Step 6: Programming and Coding. The proof stage has now been completed and we have designed the different layouts for the various pages on the website. We now code the proofs into Valid XHTML/CSS pages. If the website is setup on a Content Management System, we program the website to perform the functionality agreed upon.

Step 7: Flowing in Content. Now that we have programmed and coded the entire website, we flow in the content which includes text and images. During this phase we do testing to ensure everything does what it should do and to make sure nothing is broken.

Step 8: Site Launch. Once we have put the entire project together, we then launch your website and submit your URL to the “Big Three” which are Google, MSN, and Yahoo. From there we provide any support necessary for you to understand how to use your Content Management System (we provide video documentation which takes you step by step). If long-term support is needed, we provide that on a monthly basis as well.
